Dr. Brent Chizen graduated dental school fom the University of Alberta with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2010 and joined Aspen Trails Dental in August 2012. Brent grew up north of Edmonton near Redwater, AB and now lives in Sherwood Park. Brent enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He plays on volleyball, hockey, and slo-pitch teams and is an avid Oilers fan.
Russell is a graduate from the University of Alberta with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He grew up in Southern Alberta and moved up to Edmonton for school where he fell in love with the city and his beautiful wife. In his spare time he enjoys music, reading, podcasts, and spending time with his wife and young daughter. He loves all sports and will even tolerate long distance running if his waistline is feeling a little "lumpy".
Dr. Derek MacDonald graduated from the University of Alberta with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS). Prior to dentistry, Dr. MacDonald was a junior high school band teacher specializing in the trumpet. He is married to his wife Natalie and has a son and a daughter. He enjoys tennis, golfing, reading and spending time with his family. Dr. MacDonald spent 2 years in the Netherlands and speaks fluent Dutch. He grew up in the Windsor Ontario area but now calls Alberta home. Dr. MacDonald looks forward to working with you and your family.
Sandra has lived almost her whole life in Edmonton, she is married and has two kids. She graduated from Nait as an RDA II and UofA with a Bsc in Science. Sandra is currently the office manager at Aspen Trails Dental. She loves to travel, hike, read, and loves fitness. Sandra volunteers at Delton Elementary school and loves helping children.
Mary-Lee brings over 20 years of assisting experience to the Aspen Trails Dental Team. When she’s not working she loves playing softball, volleyball and soccer as well as spending time with her two daughters. Mary-Lee makes sure all her patients are welcomed in a way that has become custo“mary” at Aspen Trails Dental. What she loves most about her job is building trust with her patients and taking away the fear from visiting the dentist.
Caley has been a dental assistant since 2006. Before becoming a dental assistant Caley received a Bachelor of Arts degree and an Education degree. Having a job where she could interact daily with people was important to her. She is originally from Coronation and now spends her time outdoors with her Husband Mackenzie and her son Wyatt.
Candice graduated from NAIT in 2004 as a registered dental assistant. She loves her job and really enjoys coming into work. Candice also has a background in massage therapy. Being nerdy by nature, she loves to read and learn new things. Candice is married and has two girls and a boy. She lives on an acreage and loves doing anything outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Candice also loves to run, cook and have fun!
Kirsten graduated from the NAIT dental assisting program. She grew up in Onoway and kept busy playing hockey for ten years. Kirsten enjoys spending time with her family, loves her Shih Tzu Bella and is a huge Oilers fan, she especially enjoyed the playoff run this past spring. Kirsten looks forward to meeting new patients and getting acquainted with the Sherwood Park community.
Rachel is a dental hygienist who grew up in Sherwood Park and graduated from the University of Alberta BSc program. She was previously a dental assistant and specialized in orthodontics. Rachel enjoys travelling, hot yoga, running and shopping, as well as spending time with her husband and family.
Jessica is a dental hygienist that graduated from the U of A and originally from Medicine Hat. She decided to be a dental hygienist because she likes working with people and talking about herself without the other person being able to interrupt. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling and shopping!
Jessica was born in Ontario, she graduated in 2012 from the Dental Hygiene program at Georgian College. After her graduation she packed her life in two suitcases and jumped on a plane to Edmonton. Outside of the office she is always on a new adventure traveling throughout Alberta, doing anything outside; whether its golfing, hiking, quadding, snowboarding or sledding in the rocky mountains.
Lindsay grew up in Edmonton and attended the University of Calgary for three years in Arts and Science before moving to Toronto to complete the Dental Hygiene program at TCDHA. She has been a hygienist for over three years now and loves getting to build relationships with her patients while helping to improve their overall health and quality of life. When she’s not working she loves painting, travelling to new places, and spending time with her friends, family, and her sweet little pug Hughie.
Krista graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at the University of Alberta in 2015. She eats tacos at least once a week, and would argue that guacamole should be its own food group. When she’s not dreaming up her next Mexican feast, she enjoys snowboarding, reading, hiking, and Netflix-ing. She loves visiting her family and snowmobiling in the winter.
Dominique was born and raised in Sherwood Park. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (specialization in dental hygiene) from University of Alberta in 2010. She has a daughter and a son and when she's not working you'll find her having fun with her family!
Chantale grew up in Montreal but has lived in Sherwood Park since 2001. She is married, has two daughters and a black lab. Chantale worked in insurance for over 20 years before taking time off to be with her kids. She is glad to be working with patients and loves the staff at Aspen Trails Dental. When she’s not working she loves watching her daughter play basketball, travelling, shopping, skiing and spending time with her family.
Amanda graduated from the NAIT dental assisting program in 2010. After being an assistant for 4 years, she took some time off to take care her 3 boys. She started working at Aspen Trails in December as a receptionist and has loved every bit of it . Outside of work, she loves spending time with her kids, reading, and of course- binge watching shows on Netflix. Amanda is also proud to call Sherwood Park her home.
